Im hoping someone on here will know if there is a particular rule or absense of a rule covering a particular issue. I live right on the border of two VA regions (VISN's). The respective CBOC's are 5 miles difference distance (37miles vs 32) from my house. The hospitals are about equal. Can I choose to start getting my care in the other region or is there a predetermined residency assignment?
The region Im currently in requires me to go to a hospital in another state for specialists whereas, it I switch, I can stay in Missouri.
