VA Regional Office (Fort Polk)

Good People:

Does anyone know what VA regional office handles IDES post unfit PEB claims for Fort Polk? I know that I have not waited nearly as long as some of you out there, and I will admit I am a little jittery. But I am getting confusing answers from my PEBLO and my VA rep has yet to call me back again and again. So I am gathering my intel so that I may make a good fight of it if I need to.

I am also posting another thread about getting the VA to perform hip replacements so if any of you know about that please look it up and pass on your knowledge.

Thank You all for what you do.

I'm at polk also, Seattle regional is handling mine.

Thanks I have not heard great things about Seattle but some of that may be the partialy broken system as well

A dude in my company is awaiting his 199 his proposed are at the peb, and he got his unfit like the end of march.. There's no rhyme or reason for the rating system. I only have 14 claims Total and none are really complex, and my unfit was forwarded march 12.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

If I may ask, when are you planning to submit your DoVA application for TDIU; as annotated within your signature comments?

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Warrior:

My intention at the moment is to apply as soon as I get my proposed ratings (If they fall in line). Then VA willing I am going to actively pursue my much needed THR and PHR(Other side) and my small fusion in the back. What I hope for is to do the surgeries and the recovery period and then get to work. once I am reasonably mobile and the pain reaches a non narcotic level (I hope) I want to work, I need to set an example for my kids, and I need to take care of my family. Army TA (With a little help from me and other government programs) has paid for an MBA. I believe I am morally required to try to make use of it. Right now I can’t work, but I can be hopefully brought to a state where some work is possible.

Appreciate your feedback, and I commend your current efforts + future endeavors. ;)

In retrospect, my reason for asking is that I am currently scheduled for a formal PEB hearing and upon completion, the request for a one-time DoVA reconsideration will be submitted for action. Within the DoVA reconsideration, I am requesting an IDES case file review for increased DoVA compensation to be granted service-connected total disability benefits based on my validated unemployability.

In reference to your much needed THR and PHR, and small fusion in the back, are these surgeries potentially going to be scheduled AFTER the completion of the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process? Unless the aforementioned surgeries are determined to be life-threatening, you shall potentially have an uphill battle to obtain prior approval while in the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process.

In the interim, please remain positively proactive and stay the course throughout your interactions if life to secure the best solution for yourself and your loved ones.

Thus, possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer.

Best Wishes!

I know.. My ebenefits went from gathering of evidence through the others to having a historical claim complete and back to gathering of evidence.. I believe it's back to that because they need dd214.

They need you dd214 in order to finalize your ratings once you become a veteran, make sure to get it to your MSC before you sign out on terminal leave

Yup tracking all that.. Can't wait to go talk to my msc tomorrow to find out if they did my ratings or not.

i got the ombudsman at the wtu involved apparently she has a lot of juice because the peblo was pissin his pants and she claims she will be talking directly to the guy who's rating my packet tomorrow so i'm very interested to see if shes legit or not
