My packet at the va went from development to the next stage this morning. i believe it was decision phase. can anyone share how long it took them to get their ratings from that point? thanks. i am hoping i am almost at the end of the painful process

I have been sitting at the "decision phase" for close to two weeks now. I have talked to the VA on the phone a few times, and they say "there has been a decision on your ratings, but it is waiting review and approval, after which you will receive a letter." So, in other words, more waiting. In 3 days, it will have been 30 days since the VA received my request for ratings. Complete crap. Frustrating to see other people who have started the MEB after me be done already, even though my case was "easy" according ot my PEBLO. Gotta love Fort Polk.

Doesn't seem like it. I have been in the process for a while, though not as long as you.

I've been frustrated since the beginning with the whole process. Constantly hearing about overloaded systems and not enough personnel are weak excuses for a bloated bureaucracy that wastes so much while accomplishing very little. Nothing frustrates me more than the VA's phone system hanging up on me because they are "too busy".

My case was supposedly simple - yet I see updates from people on this board who fly through the process in a few months. I feel bad for people who have been stuck in this mess for a lot longer than I have. Spoke with the VA today and was "wasn't told" what percentages would be on my letter. Helped with a little light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm not out of the woods yet.

Good luck.

I know this sounds bad, but I'm actually hoping mine gets delayed more. I'm trying to get PLD for LOS retirement so every delay gets me closer. I think the worst part about this process is not knowing where I'm going to be in six months.
