Good afternoon,

My claim status is showing as closed and that a letter has been generated, but when I go view the letter it states, "no current letters". Tried calling the hotline and they stated that I had to wait for the PEB to approve before an actual letter will be produced, is this accurate? They also would not disclose what my proposed ratings were, which I assumed but I had to ask! How long from claim closed to 199 is typical nowadays?

Tanks!

So mine showed closed on July 15th. I have recieved different answers from every VA rep I have talked to. The most recent call they told me my claim actually wasn't closed (even though the website said it was) and that somehow my claims increased deom 24 to 31. I have still heard nothing from my PEBLO. So short answer to your question is who the hell knows how long, could be 2 weeks could be longer.

- Yes, this is exactly accurate.

- The overarching concept to understand is that the VA Reps you all are talking to are likely not well-versed on IDES cases. Your PEBLO will absolutely contact you almost immediately once your PEB results/VA ratings are made available to them. How do I know this?.. because it is required that the Service Member be notified within 24 hours of the PEBLO receiving the PEB results/VA ratings and that metric is tracked through the VTA and reported to the highest levels for all branches of service.

I need you to hurry up and get your results since your timeline is slightly ahead of my own. Thank you. :p

PEBLO called today and was able to send over my VA rating determinization for proposed ratings along with my DA 199, so a 2-day span fromva.gov showing claim closed to receiving DA 199 about time something happens quick for me!

What service are you? I'm on week 3 of claims being closed with radio silence.

That's strange. I'm Army too so we should be put before the same board. The workings of the PEB are a black box mystery to me.
I attached a job offer to my packet which I told would expedite the process. I also have been going through this since 24JAN23 so it has by no means been a quick process.

Ahh that makes sense. You got expedited. The regular process feels very backed up right now.

I had the same issue, I called the VA the day after and had them email me the letter. It was the proposed rating, I have yet to hear from my PEBLO to let me know my DoD rating.
