The VA and DOJ have teamed up to help Veterans who can’t make their own medical decisions and don’t have family or legal help,including some who are homeless or at risk of it.
Now, VA attorneys can step in as legal representatives to make sure these Veterans get help. This can assist with things like:
Moving safely from VA hospitals to other care
Protecting their rights
Making sure they aren’t kept in the hospital longer than necessary
