Does anyone know what this means? I have no idea. I submitted my claim for an increase in compensation and unemployability back in March and the status went from pending decision to ACE opinion at RO.

ACE (acceptable clinical evidence) it means it's possible that the have enough of your medical records evidence to where you won't need a exam

ACE gives VHA the option to review a Veteran’s existing medical records instead of performing an in-person or telehealth examination to complete a DBQ, expediting the disability ratings process by eliminating the wait time to schedule and conduct an in-person exam. DBQs are medical examination forms used to capture essential information for evaluating disability compensation or pension claims.

Hi Combat Eng,
What I think is interesting is that on November 1st 2013 I had my C&P exam and then now it's at ACE Opinion at RO. I have no idea what they are doing.

JBrown58, what Regional Office is your IU claim at? I filed an IU Claim in April with my RO at Baltimore. Still no movement on my claim. Baltimore RO is one of the worst for backlogs.

Take care and good luck.

Dcmd124,

My claim is at the St. Paul, MN VA.
St. Paul is averaging 106 days, which is pretty awesome. Baltimore on the other hand is averaging 500 days, YIKES.

Take care and good luck to you on getting your IU Claim approved.
