Has anyone ever seen a successful VA claim for a genetic disorder? The issues I'm currently having for my claims are that they're essentially stemming from my genetic disorder (Loeys-Dietz syndrome) but there isn't anything for my genetic disorder itself. My disorder caused my aneurysm that I had corrected with heart surgery but now they're reducing that claim from 100% to 10% since the aneurysm was corrected. I'm wondering if it's possible to claim my genetic disorder itself since it's causing my other issues I also have claims for(shoulder dislocations, scar tissue, joint pain, etc.).

I believe if you can provide proof of service-aggravation and/or if you were in the service with 10+ years with the condition it's automatically considered service-aggravated you can submit a claim. That's if I'm reading the policy on it properly.
