I tried to post earlier but I don't think it went through. I have been reading other peoples' timelines and mine seems to be taking quite a while.

First Light Duty for injury: January 6th, 2020
LIMDU for Injury: March 9th, 2020
Referred to Med Board/filled out paperwork for board: August 20th, 2020
Doctor forgot to send Med Board to HQMC, board actually sent: October 14th, 2020
Last QTC appointment: February 19th, 2021
NARSUM Complete: June 11th, 2021
NMA Complete: June 21st, 2021
Personal Impact Statement signed by IDES Attorney: June 28th, 2021
Board sent to PEB: June 30th, 2021

I have heard that the PEB is backed up so to expect a 4 month turnaround. I have already been extended past my EAS twice, is there any hopeful news someone has? I have called my PEBLO, his assistant and even the building he works at several times over the past week and I have had nobody pick up. Am I just stuck in the waiting game? When can I expect to be out?

It is tough to get any reliable timeline right now. I entered IDES in August 2020 and my case went to the PEB on 14 May. I'm still waiting for findings from the PEB and don't have any solid timeline for when I might receive results.

I've been told the PEB is currently providing decisions for cases that made it to the PEB in April so we might be waiting for a while longer.
 
Expect to wait a while guys. Don’t get your hopes up or think any timeline is correct. My case was submitted early April, message posted on MOL saying it was accepted for review by PEB April 27 and I am stillllll waitinggg.

just remember that you’re collecting a paycheck still, keep your head up.
 
Spent the first half of this week calling and emailing my PEBLO and his boss telling them I am on day 343 in IDES and day 91 at the PEB. Asked if they could provide a better update than "still with the medical officer" or "no updates". They reached out to the PEB and received this response. "That case is still in the Medical Officer queue and will be for some weeks due to a doctor shortage up here.”

I replied saying the response from the PEB was inadequate and asked if there was anything we could do to move things along.

This morning my PEBLO CC'd me on an email to MMSR-4 (HQMC Branch for Medical Boards) and asked them to reach out to the PEB to see what they could do to move my case along. Hopefully this helps get things moving.

For all you Marines stuck waiting like me. See if you can get your PEBLO to ask MMSR-4 to contact the PEB about your case. We might see some positive movement if MMSR-4 has enough PEBLOs telling them our cases are stalled at the PEB.
 
I do not know how you would get this on your board but there is such a thing as an expedited board. Joe, you could try to request that. Someone who works with me sent their board up June 28th and got their findings back July 29th. They said that on their findings paper next to their name it said "...-Expedited" Although, in my experience the medical boards seem to only expedite mental health boards.

My PEBLO did submit an expedited request but it seems to not have had any impact. I'm hoping that MMSR-4 reaching out will help expedite my case as it is already been marked as expedited.
