Hello all, currently waiting in limbo for orders just like everyone else. I signed my 199 may 30. I just read something about an unfit memo that I can clear without orders? Should my unit have this or is this something I take up with my peblo? I have 52 days of leave and would "hope" to use as much as possible. I'm currently catching hell just to get a early cif turn in memo signed, because apparently my unit can't find the correct one. I don't want to spend leave packing, well rather I say too much leave packing. Much help appreciated, and by the way, anyone hear about orders this week? Seen the fourms for the army side has been kinda dry. The most stressful part of this whole thing is not knowing the PDA side. How often does errors come up? I just want to know so I can get myself and my family situated and pre-prepared.

Do a search, one of the other members sf18z I believe is his name added an example one on a post. Download it and then modify it with your unit letter head, and your information. Get it to your company commander for signature and then you are good to go. I'm currently at CIF right now turn-in at 0915
I signed my 199 30MAY as well, got TRANSPROC notification on 27JUNE, went to Transition office the next day to set up my out process timeline. Have you heard anything back?
Wow, still nothing here. About to call my peblo and see if anything came through. What duty station are you at?
My Ombudsman told me I hit Transproc yesterday. Fort Knox told me it would be at least a week before they can process my orders because building 3 has a bed bug infestation and they are bombing the building. WTF is that about?
I'm not making light of our situation, but that is funny in an idiosyncratic sort of way.
We are all part of a Department of Defense that can put a missile up the ass end of a camel from 3,000 files away, but we can't retire someone because of a bed bug infestation.
If you go to your CIF they will (should) have a copy of the memo they require for you to clear early. CIF and SFL-TAP are the only things you can knock out before you actually have orders in hand. Your unit might let you pretty much clear them but you won't be able to clear anything post wise without clearing papers. A "Unfit" memo comes from the PEB thru your PEBLO. A lot of people don't actually get one for some reason, but it isn't needed.
You will be able to use all of your leave. Once your name hits the TRANSPROC list then you have a 90 day NLT date set. So with PTDY and your 52 days you will be under that so you should be good to go.
My PEBLO actually talked to the PDA about my packet this past Wed/Thur and they said they are averaging 8 weeks once they receive a packet because of their backlog and being short staffed. (Yeah typical government employee response) So that is a rough timeline to expect at this point, but of course might be lucky few and receive a lot sooner.
