I have cardiomyopathy (heart failure) and I can no longer work due to my symptoms becoming worse. How do I file the unemployability paper work properly so it does not get denied? My Tricare doctor has already seen me and will approve of me not working anymore. My main concern is do I have to quit my job when I file the paper work or I can wait until it is approved?

VA Form 21-8940 and VA Form 21-4192 will need to be filled out. Look at those forms for the info they need. Then, decide how you answer those questions based on still working or no longer employed.
