Have a question. I have 2 completed claims in historical claims and a new claim that is dated the day after med retirement. I have not seen this question yet-
what does it mean?
the original date says completed and letter sent (this is the original MEB)
in work in progress it still has all the things claimed during MEB and a new date.

thanks

Update-
called and talked to someone-
they "administratively closed" my MEB file and opened a "new" claim to finalize ratings-
now just waiting for them to finish it

Hey man im on a similiar situation as you, I retired on the same date as you did DEC 28 and my claim says "under review" I called the VA and they told me is in the final stage they just need to review it and close it, I was wondering if you could keep me updated on when you start receiving compensation from them or you get any updates that way I can compare it to my situation. Thanks!

my ebenefits moved to preparing for decision. it has an estimated completion time if you click on the date of the claim- mine says 1 feb - 12 feb for est complete date. I know my case is in seattle (I asked) I call 2-3 times a week (makes me feel better and make sure they have all the info still)

my claim status just changed to preparation for decision with an estimated completion time of 02/04/2016 - 02/15/2016

It's the just keep waiting, just keep waiting, just keep waiting endless cycle - lol

My ratings are complete- they are visible on ebenefits, just have to wait for the letter.
there are things that they still have to do- missing a dependant, and still have not attached dependants to award, but that will get worked out- I hope.
Also anyone know why when I go in to get my COE for housing it still says non-exempt for the funding fee. my rating is 80% so I should be exempt from the funding fee if I was reading correctly, and how do I get this fixed if this is wrong.

thanks

Mines are complete as well, for the COE i had to mail my army disability so they could adjust it and take away the funding fee you can do that from ebenefits, I have a question...on the compensation it says the amount in dollars and not counting the retirement from the army so I am assuming they deduct that form it right? because im rated 90 from va and 40 army and total from both is 2029 but va shows 1370 is that right?

I don't know- I have that same question. they are still looking at one of my dependents- helpless child paperwork filled out and submitted. was told that piece was handled at "regional office" whatever that means. I also notice a dollar amount for 1 Jan authorized (have a statement from DFAS also) so I am guessing that everything will get straightened out over the next week. (I know I will be on hold wanting questions answered)

Where do you go on ebenefit to see your ratings?

When they were completely done- go to the disabilities tab on the left side - I had just kept checking it and one day there was a percentage at the top. you also need to make sure that if you have dependents that they are listed under that tab. I am still waiting for them to decide on one kid ( other factors- special situation)
