Transition leave and PTDY?

I am waiting for my ratings to come back. as an estimate if everything was back, said and done by nov 1st ill have a total of 60.5 days of accrued leave. My question is will I be able to take 60.5+ leave accrued on leave+ PTDY for total amount of 75.5 days of leave total? Does anyone know the regulation on this and who will be the approving authority?

Your BC will be the authority, now you have to factor in what you earn while on leave for that time so add about 6.5 days. It is covered in the normal leave regs for the branch of service.

I really have been very sick, and while in the MED Board process it is so hard to take leave because you can't really go anywhere without being called back in. The last time I took leave, I was called back in 4 days of my leave. Not only that, we have to call in everyday, even while on leave. I wanted to take more leave, but with call-ins, and appointments, I was hoping to just take all the leave at the end, really relax, and plan to get a little better, but, I was in the hospital the week I received notification, and I have no time to clear and take all my leave (or sell the extra leave I do have).

The AF allowed me to take almost all of my accrued leave 70s+ day, plus 20 days PTDY.

You can take as much time as you want for terminal leave, but it has to be approved by command. The normal rules, but it can vary by unit, is 30 days is signed off by O3, 60 days by O5 and more by O6. Its fairly normal for O5 to able to ok any number of days for terminal. You'll want to checK with S1, since appproval authority is local policy, not reg. Its not a valid leave form until S1 gives a control number, which is given when they confirm its been approved by appropriate authority.

They normally set your ETS date 90s out once all paperwork is done. Its quite possible to fully clear in 7 days. You could quite possibly take all your leave days. But you'll need your ducks in a row.

Any leave left when you ets is automaticaly sold, no action necissary.
