Been on profile since spring 2021. It's been a long battle with medical wanting to give me proper care as you all know. Referred to MEB January 2023. As soon I was notified I scheduled my TAP, SkillBridge, and whatever else I could complete as soon as possible to help with my transition.

I didn’t think to check TRICARE Online. Do they already have my VA Rating?

Just called the VA to confirm how much longer.

28Sep2023 - VA is on 6 out of 8 steps.
Reviewing to see if they need more evidence for final review. Then they’ll notify me from my understanding.

This is amazing. Did you have a skillbridge option lined up before you officially submitted? Did you have a retirement date or end of service date prior to submitting for skillbridge?

I did not have anything lined up before I officially submitted my Commander Impact Statement. My job interview was in June and even then everything wasn't going as planned. The company didn't get back with an offer until the first week of September and I haven't discussed anything with my Chain of Command and they wanted me to start within two weeks. My commander approved my Skillbridge application but I skipped a lot of steps which I don't recommend(It all worked out). However, I was proactive early on in the year to complete my skill-bridge class and TAP requirements beforehand. My final out date is my current ETS active duty orders but when the retirement orders get issued I'll let the education office and my current employer know so I can start receiving payment.

Called the VA and they stated today that they sent off the proposed rating last Friday to the PEB. Left my Peblo a voice message to see if he had any updates.

Called the VA and they confirmed I have a proposed rating of 100%. I should expect my proposed rating to come by mail in a few days. Still waiting for IDES/IPEB AFPC to come back with the DOD rating. Fingers crossed.

Do not expect you VA to come by mail... You will never get it by mail... Contact your peblo to get it.

"Your AF Form 356, Findings and Recommended Disposition of USAF Physical
Evaluation Board have been sent to the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison
Officer (PEBLO) at your base Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). Your PEBLO
will be putting together the rest of your package over the next 24 hours and
then contacting you once it is ready. When the package is ready, the PEBLO
will contact you to explain the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) findings and
recommended disposition to you. If the PEBLO has not contacted you after 48
hours of receipt of this email notification, please contact them. You may
request a copy of the package for your personal records.

Your PEBLO will provide you with results on the AF Form 356 findings and
ask you to sign an AF Form 1180, Action on Physical Evaluation Board
Findings and Recommended Disposition within the next six days. The AF Form
1180 provides Airmen an option to agree or disagree with the PEB decision.
We recommend you contact the Office of Disability Counsel (ODC) to discuss

19Oct2023 - Peblo notified CC and 1st SGT. Awaiting for response from them before discussing the findings and my proposed VA Rating with myself. My Peblo will contact me by tomorrow morning with the findings and the proposed VA Rating. I feel so close and that much further away at the same time lol. Fingers crossed!

Found unfit/Peblo had me sign a few documents for him to send back to AFPC so I can recieve my orders.

20Oct2023 - 80 DoD/100 VA TDRL and documents signed/sent. :)

Just be prepared once you separate to wait 3+ months for final rating . I waited 4 months after got out to get final rating . They said it’s taking longer because of the pact act claims .. the 30-60 days was a lie ..

02November2023 - Just received my Retirement Orders from myFSS with a DOS 18November2023. :)
