Timelines-Post them up.

I received me message yesterday afternoon. Took 3 weeks exactly. They changed my seperation date. I requested 4 December. Orders say 28 December. It took longer than I expected to receive my orders
Wow that is a big push. So much for 30 - 90 days. The PEBLO told me to just request 45 days. Are you getting PTDY?

Yes. 20 days job/house hunting. Only thing I'm waiting for is my DD214 appointment which is on Monday. She was booked this week because the civilians get Wed-Fri off this week.

I just logged into eBenefits and I think the PEB finally decided. I now have 2 claims. The original one that still says Review of Evidence and a new claim started today that just says Claim Received!

Today marks 6 months since my PEB began and 3 months to the day since my package for sent to the IPEB. My PEBLO has called me one time since this all began and that was when I went to sign/gave my package sent up back in September. I've called him 10 times and left messages within the last 3 months and has yet to answer or return my calls.

I'm a Coastie, diagnosed with dysthymia with major depression episodes and general anxiety with panic attacks. My MEB packet was received October 19, 2015 and I haven't heard anything since then. What could I expect?

Told by a secondary(fill in peblo) peblo today that average start to findings time is 6-7 months... I hit 6 months yesterday. He has been doing this for a long time and he said my case is very simple and he can normally gauge from the amount/
Type of claims that someone has, how long it will take...he said I should get my findings by the end of January. This process definitely takes a long time...I was one of those that thought I'd be EASing by Christmas as well. I'll probably still be here by March of next year at this rate.

What branch of service?
What's your current timeline?

I'm USMC and my current timeline is below.

here is mine.

i didn't. you don't decide that. HQ does them math to include PTAD and terminal leave. normally it is 45 to 60 days from the day your get your notification of retirement/separation. so I don't know why there are rumors of date selection. its not up to the member its up to your branches main HQ. you have to remember your time is up in the military. yes your unfit but you are still serving a job at your unit. so they have to replace you and in order to do that they need time. to be honest that date matters only because your are still going to work. if you didn't care about date its because your disability makes it hard for you to get out of bed and there for are not useful at all. yet still collecting paychecks till that date comes up.
All in all your don't get to chose your retirement/separations date. just expect it to be 45 to 60 days after your get notification.

Atleast that's how it works for that 20= people I have seen get medically separated/retired.

sorry for they long post lol. I don't like rumors.

What branch are you in? I've talked to at least 4 people that all claimed to have selected a desired date 30-90 days out. Also, my PEBLO told this to me directly, but I can only speak for the Navy.

I think its just in the Navy that you get to choose your date.

6 1/2 month mark....got an email from QTC this morning stating that the VA is requesting another c&p exam (for hearing...I had a horrible doctor and I guess the paperwork showed that. Idk) Anyway...I don't want to wait any longer...I have a simple cut and dry case as I'm told. I went in today and immediately requested to not have anymore c&p exams due to the wait, I'll just take care of it when I get out...I don't recommend doing this at all...In my case, I'd rather deal with the hearing stuff later and get on with this grueling process now, as I have more serious/painful medical conditions that I'm more worried about than my ears...At 6 1/2 months there's no way I want to start back at damn near square one.

I was AF... Still waiting though. See below.

Mine is below. I still haven't received a fit/unfit yet, but my Ebennies states "Preparation for Decision". I did the VA chat and the lady said my ratings were in the final review.

Where can I do the VA chat?
