Figured I'd post my timeline, seems like the whole process just depends on claims, branch of service, and regional VA offices.

Called the VA May 1 and asked for a claim update, I was told it was in the decision phase. I contacted my PEBLO yesterday, he said VA the is done with it and its with QA. I'll post any updates.

My case was accepted March 29th, 23. Haven't heard anything back yet as of today. I will ask my PEBLO to see if I can get an update

My PEB was accepted March 3rd 2023
I made an appointment yesterday with Vera and they said I got assigned a rater on April 28th 2023.
My case is being done at Rhode Island regional office and is currently in the "Ready for decision" phase. I'll keep this updated here when I find out more so yall have an idea of when yours may be done
Also will schedule another phone call in 2 weeks with Vera for another update.

If your PEBLO doesn't respond, try calling the VA and ask for a claim status 1-800-827-1000. If your case is with the VA, then at least you know you're most likely unfit.

thats great news! I haven't heard anything from my PEBLO so still waiting on an update.

Got a call from Vera and they verified my decision letter was mailed on the 18th. (The call from Vera was last week on friday)
Also I managed to also find out my proposed rating from the VA with the same phone call... Just waiting on my Peblo to get my letter and tell me to come by to sign it.

Note: Typically, they're not allowed to tell you your ratings until you hear it from your peblo. I was just lucky at that moment in time where they decided to just tell me what I got. Don't expect that you'll make an appointment and that they will just tell you.

I will update once my peblo contacts me

Am I supposed to make an account online with VA to view my claim online, or is one made for me during this process?

you need to get a DS logon. This is what we navy people create whenever going through taps class. taps is a mandatory thing we have to do when we are about to get out. I dont remember the steps but you need that DS logon as this will be how you access a lot of things once you lose your CAC card. Your account is already in there when you login with that DS logon

So I called the VA about a week ago and they mentioned that there at the decision phase. anyone know about how long itll be?

Mine says that too. Does that mean the PEB has found me unfit or does it just mean there waiting on a decision from the PEB saying fit or unfit

Does the VA start going through your claims when it gets to Rhode Island/ HQ? Or do they wait until everything is submitted like the NARSUM. My claims arrived in Rhode Island two weeks ago but my NARSUM isn’t finished. Nice timeline btw!

I would reach out to your PEBLO and ask if you've been found unfit. When I contacted my PEBLO and asked for an update on my case, he said the VA is done and it is pending with quality assurance (QA) and he'll let me know when he receives my findings. From what I've read on this PEB forum website is if the VA is working on your claim, then you've been found unfit but just to be sure, I would reach out to your PEBLO or schedule an appoint with VA VERA. Some people on here have scheduled virutal appointments with VA VERA and were able to find out detailed information on their case. Good luck!

Thanks, still waiting to hear from my PEBLO about my proposed ratings. From what I recall, after completing your C&P exams with the VA or medical contractors, the results will be sent back to the VA. While that is happening, your PEBLO waits for the results from those exams in order to generate your MEB package and sends that to the PEB. I do believe that the VA starts working on your claim when they've been notified of an unfit finding from the PEB. Hope this helps and good luck on your timeline!

It really depends on how many claims you have. I called the VA hotline every other week and my claim was in the decision phase for about 3 weeks. After those 3 weeks, I called back and was notified that my claim was pending final approval, which means a decision/proposed rating was made but needs to be approved by someone of higher authority before getting sent back to the PEB.

Couple weeks ago I found out my decision letter was sent out but still waiting to hear back on the VA findings.
