Timeline so far

Ok so I thought that I would post my timeline and update as needed.

January 2014: Informed that I would be going up against the board. My PCM was a lazy POS and didnt start writing the package for several months after this.

July 28 2014: All records plus Commander's letter had been gathered and I finally sat down with the PEBLO office on base.

August 2014: C&P exams were completed at the VA. I received a call late August saying they were missing some records and I was able to provide them with no worries.

September 16 2014: Was called into the MEB office to sign paperwork for my claims. VA rep had me fill out a dependent and direct deposit form. All documentation was sent up for ratings.

Now I am waiting for the decision on percentages to be made. I have been diagnosed with PTSD / Major Depressive Disorder / Asthma / Allergic Rhinitis / Bi lateral knee / lower back / and Gurd.

****My MEB ratings came in on Friday the 14th. TDRL Air Force 50% VA 80%. Re evaluation is in 6 months. I should have my orders in a few weeks and then out processing and moving back to NY. I'm glad this portion is finally over.

All right, this is great news! Congratulations on the recent receipt of your DoD proposed and DoVA proposed ratings at this point in time! :D

**FINAL UPDATE**
-Moved back to NY in April of 2015 and got situated with the local VA

-Had a lot of issues in the beginning getting appointments with the right doctors (which is huge when you are on TDRL)
-By June I was pretty much set up with all my doctors and meds and doing what I needed to do. I was expecting an actual 6 month eval but that just wasn't the case.

-Jump ahead to October of 2015 when I was first notified of my TDRL RE-EVAL. Had to collect a lot of documents and sign some forms which my VA representative helped me with tremendously. Sent everything in and played the waiting game.

-January 2016- was notified by the VA that I needed to schedule several appointments based on what you were found unfit for or claimed, we did that over the phone and were all in a month time frame.

-I was never nervous about them lowering my claims because I had done everything the doctors had asked of me and never missed an appointment in the 10 months I had been with them.

-went in February 2016 and did the eval, it was the quickest appointments of my life, very professional and answered all my questions. They didn't tell me much about when I would get my results, said it could be 1 month-10 months.

-April 2016 I received two envelopes within this month, the first from the VA who had upped my overall rating to 90%
-The next was the DoD saying they moved me to PDRL with a 70% rating.

All in all I am just thankful that I got through this part, some of it was confusing and scary, and then some of it was easy. Good luck to anyone going through this.
