Ok here it is again for those of you looking for a timeline once you meet the formal board.
For those who have not seen my previous posts...
Aug 30th I met the formal board and got 70% DOD from original 30%
25 September recieved my retirement orders stating my retirement date is 28 November 2012
So I was under the impression my leave and permissive tdy would be taked on the end of that....
Oh boy was I wrong.
Last day of work will be 19 October!!!!! holy shit!!! 22 days after I got my orders
Permissive TDY from 21 October to 9 Nov (20 days)
and terminal leave (remaining leave balance) throiugh 27 November.

I was very shocked the short amount of time, I started my outprocessing, getting ready to train a replacement, still doing my job as well as applying for new jobs!!! VERY STRESSFULL!!!!!!

Apply foir DD214 on Vmpf the day you get your retirement orders.
Get a statement of service letter from your MTF ---this is used in place of DD214 to apply for jobs while you wait for it in the mail---

Good luck everyone.

I feel ya. I'm in the same situation. Trying to get my outprocessing and DD214 done too. Amazing how everyone has absolutely no information to provide. It's like this is the first time they've been through this. I just keep my mind on the fact that this is almost over. Good luck SERE.

SERE0002,
Congratulations on your success at the FPEB!!! Your case has given me hope since I am in a similar situation. I'll be meeting with the PEBLO tomorrow to request a formal board.

Best of luck for the future and thank you for sharing your situation. I hope the next few weeks aren't too stressful!

Congratulations! My husband will be appealing his decision soon. Question for you - how long between IPEB, the appeal, and FPEB. Then, my next question - were you able to choose when you could retire, up to 90 days or is it just boom, there you go, see ya?

Thanks! And again, congratulations!

sorry this is a way late answer but. after the FPEB, I had retirement orders within 30 days and the retirement date is set by them. Mine was 90 days, but within that 90 days i had terminal leave, outprocessing etc. if you have terminal leave it has to be before the retirement date given to you....there is no changing it. It took about 1.5 months to get to the formal from when I requested it
