The VA Gave me a HEARTATTACK -- Plus Timeline...

Alright, yesterday I did my monthly Peblo/DaV calls; Basically pinging them to see whats going on, any news, and nothing. Logged onto Ebennies today, actually more out of habit than hope. Sure enough, it looked different!

It took me a second to realize what had changed on the page, because i was used to looking at the same old page over and over. But they requested new documents......from my entrance exam... Today, with a suspense date of 05/16/2012. I was very happy to see the change then my heart sunk because that means more and more waiting. So i jumped on the phone with my peblo, (Who seemed VERY suprised that i knew what was going on, but he was awesome) and it got taken care off! (they had them on disc, just didnt know how to open......) The additional documents are closed and now 4/16/2013 my package has been moved to preperation for decision and someone is ACTIVELY working it!

You would think that this would be good news...and it is, but my god it is really messing with my anxiety, so I figured I would post about the scare, and actually start my timeline! I didnt start one earlier because there are a million timelines out there that are all at the same point, and I did not want to add clutter to clutter!

15Sep11 - Injury
23Jan12 - Back Surgery, Fused T2-L2
25Apr12 - Return to Duty from Convolescent leave.
16Oct12 - Initial PEBLO Meeting
20Nov12 - MEB Start Date per Ebennies (Officially......took ALOT of fighting and "False Starts" to get going)
05Dec12 - C&P's, total of 5
24Jan13 - Signed Narsum
28Jan13 - Narsum Sent to IPEB
26Feb13 - Found Unfit
MARCH - Waiting Patiently
16Apr13 - Status changed to "Preperation for Decision"

Quick fast and in a hurry is an understatement....lol
Mind me asking what kind of work you have lined up? I'm trying to stick to my guns on the
full time school (Full load in Aug) and it's National University until then lol
But i can't help thinking of what work I'm still capable of, even if its painful.
I'm not a desk person at all, so i'm struggling!!
Bad habits die hard i suppose.
 
Lol, I am lucky that i am a desk person; But then again, I am not doing a desk job oddly enough.

I am going to work as a case manager for the state of Oklahoma, contracting with various mental health institutes. All the while going through school at southern Nazarene university. Their program is very unique and nice, 1 night a week, no other study groups, 6 week courses, rolled together seamlessly into a program. Full time due to the setup; So it is a very nice setup.
 
I final outprocessed today; Alot of combatting MPF, but all in all they were helpful! I am free....starting terminal on monday...

Question: I didnt get a copy of the 214, is this being mailed to me or did someone drop the ball? I printed off the 214 worksheet and turned it in; but I want to make sure that i dont miss this VERY important piece of paper.
 
From what i understand you pick up the dd214 before you leave. I don't trust them mailing my 214 at all.
 
USAFAVIATOR Answered that in another post; Air Force does it differently apparently. But all in all, I am starting to get pretty excited about getting back home! Only thing holding me up here is the movers and my going away this friday; Movers are expected here on the 21st.

It's funny how the ratings...and dates match up. I don't know what i would have done without this site.
when do you plan on hitting up the VA etc.?
 
my going away party is the 14th, movers on the 21st; I am going to use voc rehab and VA clinic. I dont know if i need anything else; You? This site really has been a light in the dark; I would have to take the military at face value for what they said....and that would be mind blowing and frustrating as you probably know!

4June13 - Received Orders- 28July13 DOS
7June13 - Final Out of Base
10June13 - Terminal Leave Starts
21June13 -TMO Movers Scheduled for pickup of all belongings.
