Terminal leave and EAS

Yes non WTU MEB soldiers can use it. As far as tricare, I am not sure if they are steering you the right way. They can use your retirement orders to get your paperwork done, and then it will be ready for your transition.

Grizz, we had a thread on ID about three weeks ago and what we came up with is everybody does it different. On Fort Drum, they would not give me my retiree card until my terminal leave ended and I was officially retired. Many others in the thread had the same problem. I guess it will just come down to the DEERS you work with. Seems like it would be common sense to get it done, but like everything else, they all read the regs different.

Hopefully SFAC can get us through this week. I made a tentative appt. at Luke AFB for after we move just in case though.

I'll ask SFAC about the Tricare too. Thank you so much for the help.

So my question is: I was on the Automatic promotion list and then I received an Article 15, My art15 was suspended for 4 month and the end of my 4 month suspension is coming up on the 11 of october. What happens then...am I automatically promotable again or am I still not promotable?

You lost your promotable status with the article 15 if they did everything correctly. When you have UCMJ brought against you, an admin flag is entered against you. This removes you from the promotable list. This is assuming they did things by the book. A quick look at your ERB will tell you if you are still promotable.

If not, your name would have to come down on the automatic promotion list, and your commander would have to approve it. The other option is to go to a promotion board.

I agree with Joe on this, take a look at your ERB the week after the 11th and see what it says.
