TDRL status and VA reeval increase

Mods Im not sure where to ask TDRL questions - please advise if wrong forum.

Gist of it is I have recently got VA MH increase while on TDRL(From what I hear its not optimal in order to get the board to place you on PDRL as its "not static" condition due to change). Do AF boards typically move you to PDRL via record review or is it a crapshoot? Doing timeline math VA reeval will expire(18 months) within my 3 year TDRL window with couple of months to spare. Is it worth reaching out to disability counsel for specific advice?

Your branch can most often review your VA file if you have been getting all of your treatment from the VA and make a determination based on that information. I would reach out to the TDRL people at the 18 month mark. Then again at 24 months. If not reviewed and put on TDRL thats when its appropriate to panic and so by the 30 month mark if not sooner you want to reach out and ask what's going on and make some noise. Some branches are better at TDRL than others. If you are Army you don't have to worry too much as they have a good system in place. On the other end of the spectrum is the Navy/ Marines. They are a mess and if that is your branch then you want to stay on top of it and be very proactive.
