Had my C&P for TBI today, h/o multiple TBI. Undergoing MEB with PTSD (combat related) being one of my four referred conditions. TBI was a claim based upon history, and symptoms (all in my record).

My C&P Examiner said "I have reviewed your record and have most of what I need for this exam"... asked a few questions, but I persisted to go through my four pages of notes my wife helped me with to ensure everything was stated. He did not put ANY of this in his report....... feel like I wasted my time in this light.....

On my DQB he marked everything as "normal" but yet in his remarks section expanded on all of my symptoms (some of which should definitely not leave the box "normal" being selected), he also stated that my multiple TBI history "can be considered resolved" as its "more attributable to MH condition."

Anyone had this happen? Recommendations? Thanks!

Get your normal doctor that you trust to fill out the same DBQ with the correct information and upload to your VA claim. You can get ahead of this and fix it instead of waiting to attempt a VARR.

Two things that will help you get approved for SMC-T are: applying for Aid & Attendance (A&A) and VA Caregiver Support. Your VA Primary Care Provider (PCP) can complete the A&A paperwork and refer you to a VA social worker who will process the caregiver program application. If you get both of these things you will have all the documentation needed for SMC-T. It took my husband 10 years and a lawyer to get SMC-T.

Just completed my TBI C&P and he started off with "I have reviewed your record and have most of what I need for this exam" as well. I did this virtually, how do I see my DBQ?

Found my DBQ on tricareonline.com under documents. Many of my facets referred to my MH diagnosis, will this be an indicator that my PTSD and TBI will be lumped together as one? Also had a migraine DBQ in there as well which I believe falls under the 30% category, will this be lumped into the PTSD/TBI cluster?
