I was placed on TDRL in Aug 08 for PTSD and Asthma. I recently finished my reevaluation with the hopes of returning to Active Duty. During the reevaluation, mental health cleared me for PTSD and reccomended return to duty, as did the medical doctor I saw. My packet was sent and no joke, 5 days later it came back with a 10% rating for asthma with severance. Heres the kicker, in the PEB's findings, they state that my Methacholine challenge(asthma test) showed positive and recurrant symptoms in a deployed environment. 1. I havent been deployed in over 4 years. 2. The methacholine challenge that was in my packet was over 2 years old. It was done during my med board process.
Can someone tell me why they would even look at that challenge and still say unfit, when they probably didnt look at the date. I do have the appeal process started, but is it just a waste of my time? Had my hopes up once and got shot down. Info is helpful. Thank you in advance
