Hello everyone,
Medically retired out of the Fort Hood WTU 01/29/2019.
Army 1996-2019
90% DOD unfit P&T list
VA 100% P&T
Applied for SSDI at the WTU. Denied 2 phases after separation because I attempted 5 jobs and failed 5 attempts; however made substatioal income based on SSA. Resigned from last attempt 10/20/2019.
Applied for Administrative Law Judge Hearing. 11/15/2019 says reviewing request. 11/18/2019 says sent to ALJ office. 11/18/2019 says Medical decision made.
I am very confused. Any help would be outstanding!
I have reached out to 2 SSDI lawyers here in Montana and they don’t return calls or emails. Still searching for a good one I guess.
Thanks all,
Chris

You have to call your local hearing office to ask if your file is in the queue or docket yet you have to call OHO if you requested a virtual hearing, DO NOT ask if you have been approved or not as they will stop talking to you and hang up but will answer if your case has been assigned to a hearing office or not, otherwise you will have to wait for any official correspondence by mail. If denied because of the SGA amount you will get a letter stating "we found you disabled by SSA rules yadda yadda but you make too much money" and then it will go over your options on when you will be able to re-apply.
