Severance pay taxes

Hey guys for anyone who has filed for their severance pay taxes and receive them back please advise. I called to get an update on the status and they had told me that it moved to the debt and claims department. Does anyone know if that is just a part of the process? When I called that department they verified I had no outstanding debt. I am just trying to see if it is part of the whole ordeal. Thank you
