I filed several injuries with the VA recently for disability compensation that was sustained and diagnosed while on active duty in the Guard.
My question is:
Does the VA rate and pay disability that is only LOD with a NEXUS letter or do they still rate and pay compensation as long as the ailment is diagnosed while on active duty even if there is no LOD or NEXUS letter accomanying the medical documentation.

I have a LOD and NEXUS letter for one of my ailments which is the main one, but not for all of them even though all were sustained and diagnosed while on active duty. I submitted medical documentation for all my ailments to the VA for a rating and possible compensation, but didn't know weather or not they would all be viewed as service connected since they were diagnosed while on active duty.

All imput is appreciated. Thanks.

oif,

they should consider all the conditions, cause it seems like you have all the needed proof that you were in a military status, when the injuries occured. are you going @ your claim alone or using a VSO? i pretty much have the same thing going on as you. one LOD and multiple medical issues not covered by an LOD, but all happened and documented on AD. i was origionally denyed on my VA claim and my rep. filed a NOD (notice of disagreement). the big hold up on mine is i'm in INCAP status awaiting the results of my IPEB. my rep. told me that once i get a rating from the AF bring him the info. and it should be pretty smooth from that point. we'll see about that . hope this helps. good luck!

Thanks for the reply Robs42.
Acually I submitted all my paperwork through a VSO who is full time in my county.
I just got my NGB22. I need to get that to her to submit to the VA as well.
Does having your NGB22 showing you are completly out of the military change anything with the way the VA handles ones claim I wonder? I mean with us NG's men, we recieve a DD214 after coming off deployment/active duty orders, which is when I filed my claim, then we recieve an NGB22 when we are discharged from the guard.
Is there a difference in paymet amout/structure or handling the VA uses weather still on drill status or discharged completely?
