My friend is receiving 30% for PTSD and he just did a regular ets. He is fictional and has a job. I was under the impression that its 50% regardless. I know what he has been through and he was diagnosed. They put him on some crazy meds back in the day but he does not need them now. I think he has been out for around 7 years now. I am alway trying to look out for everyone that is deserving.

From what I remember being briefed, the automatic 50% for PTSD was the minimum when you get put on TDRL, but there is no guarantee that it will stay that high once you become PDRL. The reasoning behind this is that there are many people whose PTS lessens once they are out and away from the military. No offense to you or your buddy, but if he's been out for 7 years, is functional, has a job, and doesn't need any medication, then it doesn't really sound like he deserves 50% disability, at least for PTSD.
I received my 199 from my PEBLO today and set up an appointment to go over it with legal on Monday. This whole process really puts you between a rock and a hard place. They drag it out so long that by the time you get to your rating you just want to sign it and pop smoke. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks this is intentional, but what do I know. My PEBLO said the current wait time for a VARR is about 60 days (even though the dash board currently says 20). Plus there's no guarantee that anything will change. We'll see what the legal folks say.

Deserves and entitled are two different things. Knowing what he has done and went through he deserves extra 20% bump in disability pay if 50% was the mandate.

Finally had some movement today on spouse's ebennies. We hadn't checked them in two weeks due to travel restricting internet access.

Met with the legal team this afternoon. The lawyer said he was personally offended by the results of my case and recommends that I do both a Formal PEB and a ratings reconsideration afterward.

Indeed, I had just completed my 2nd Formal PEB hearing a couple of weeks ago. My assigned SPEBC military attorney was totally useless and seemed disinterested by her direct actions unfortunately.
As such, ensure that you remain thoroughly engaged with the lawyer and know exactly what you want as potential outcomes of your DoD IDES appeal.

Well this is not good to see.
If the VA scheduled me a appointment at the local VAMC and I have yet to receive my appointment would calling the VAMC be benificial for my. My Peblo and MSC can't provide me with any information. Seattle VA requested the new test on Dec 26.
