Hey, I am in Florida and mine is in Seattle for PEB rating? Could they get an office any further away maybe Alaska or The Big Island? I guess the Atlanta office isn't big enough, I think that it is just the largest.
If you guys would do a little research on these boards, you would find out that the Seattle VA is who handles all Army IDES claims. If they get sent out from there, it is to reduce workload.

negative, there is 4 VA RO that handles IDES

6/15/13 - Unfit memo sent to Seattle from Fort Bragg.

I finish six months in december (during christmas timeframe) and that's where my my ratings will come back as per my PEBLO.

How many days I will have to respond to the ratings to non concur ?

Guess what, after my case moved from seattle to RI it shows now "Pending decision approval" within a week. As per my learning from this forum now I should receive a letter in a mail (1 week), my peblo should give me 199 to sign (2 weeks), I sign/appeal (10 days), I get my orders (2-3 weeks), get terminal leave and that's it right? Please help if I am missing any critical phase. I am @ Bragg, AD.

@Chris,
Yep. Good News Indeed. If claims are processed in order by dates, I'm about 3 weeks behind you. Well, if the sky doesn't fall and the planets are properly aligned, then maybe. But still, though the tunnel shows no light at the end, we soldier on, with hope that we will all be done with this process sooner than later. These are the days of our lives...

Chrisisbest, does you ebenefits show that its at RI? I'm @Bragg. My status went to Pending Decision Approval on the 17th. Mine is still at Seattle. Ri must be going fast. Especially the cases that were the first to get up there.

Yes, my case was at seattle and last week I observed it moved to RI (See my previous posts). Within a week I received it as pending decision approval and now I am waiting for next steps.

Today is 104 days with claim at the VA. My status changed to Preparing for Decision!

Finally, some movement! Hoping PEBLO can tell me something tomorrow.

That is awesome, movement, hope you hear from your PEBLO today, if you don't my mid-morning I would recommend calling your PEBLO to inquire. Hoping you get all that you deserve! Have a great day!

uh-oh! my unfit memo was 15 July... maybe i'll hear something in the next few weeks!

PEBLO called and said there is nothing as far as she can see. Just that it moved. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Just checked Ebenefits and my status has just changed as well to "Preparation for Decision". Hopefully the rest of this process won't take too long. Day 393 and counting....

My Ebenefits changed to Gathering Evidence today. It said decision has been mailed to me and requested separation documents. After exactly 6 months since my claim was sent to the VA I'm getting close. Does anyone know how long until the 199?

@TGV you should hear something from your PEBLO Friday or the latest by the end of next week.

For anyone that is paying attention to unfit dates, mine is 15 July. I just got off of the phone with my PEBLO and she went into her "system" and saw that there hasn't been any movement at all. She stated that she will be emailing her supervisor to inquire as to why. She said that there was never any requests for further documentation and that there should have been some movement. I don't expect any response until I contact her next week, but if I get something I will update the forum.

long time reader first time poster. thank you to all of the people on here you have helped out so much.

First off let me say I never wanted an MEB I have been fighting a MEB with my providers for a long time since 2009 when they wanted to send through the process because of PTSD symptoms. I got them to down grade it to anxiety, adjustment disorder with disturbance of emotions, ADHD and insomnia. I began fighting them again in 2011 because of a back injury which resulted in surgery and now I have to walk with a cane due to my left leg giving out at random times.
a little bit about me
Entered military 02/23/2006 91W army (now 68W combat medic)
Deployed line medic with 3/1 INF 1/26 07/2008
first injury 09/2008 shot in back no penetration plates stop bullet
02/2009 IED head aches begin
05/2010 roll down mountain during EFMB night land nav knocked out and air evacuated due to inability to stand because of back pain
2nd deployment 3/1 INF 1/26 12/2010
evacuated from Afghanistan 04/2011 been fight MEB ever since trying to stay in
MEB started 12/31/2012
Narsum signed 06/24/2013
Unfit letter 06/28/2013 5 unfit conditions all combat related and 5 fitting conditions
Ebenefits changes to preparation for decision 10/11/2013
Ebenefits changes to gathering evidence (waiting on separation documents) 10/17/2013

My questions are 1) Has anyone used AW2 to stay in the military? I want to stay in and I can not talk to AW2 until my ratings come back. 2) Once my ratings come back and if I can not stay in the military How do I request a later separation date? Because, my units holiday ball is on Dec. 13th and I have 60 days of leave. I would like to attend a military ball one last time before I get out. I know most people avoid balls but I figure hey I'm getting out I might as well have one last good memory. Plus its infantry you know it is going to be one hell of a show( last one I went to CSM stood there and spoke about how he didn't drink and that part of the reason he did it was so that he could be an example for his soldier's. Then the LTC got up give his speech and at the end of it he said "I tell you something my father told me.....never trust a man that don't drink" he proceeded to take a big swig off of a beer funniest damn thing I had seen in a long time.

My MSC called today to tell me that I should be hearing something from my PEBLO very soon. Hoping for retirement- The Affordable Care Act is not affordable

Indeed, from my experiences within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process, the average wait duration for the DA Form 199 was two weeks to one month or beyond as based upon the DoD IDES case load.

Nonetheless, it was good that you received positive news from your MSC in reference to your PEBLO's forthcoming actions; it seems that the PEBLO was unavailable to yield a PEB status update.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Unfortunately, I do not have any creditable feedback for your inquiries albeit other PEB Forum members with pinpointed experiences shall hopefully provide some information soon.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Been looking around this site for a long time for answers to alot of questions most of which were answered. Thanks alot for that btw... My only question is the Seattle Regional office. I keep hearing its been taking less and less days to get a claim processed. Being that i have only 2 unfitting conditions, should it not take a less amount of time? my claim was received by the Va in july i was found unfit sept. I ask my peblo if she has any information about my claim. my peblo says that she does not have any news. And they she can not see anything. I just want to know what the peblo can actualy see and what they cant see. Is it something that they just get when my ratings are done and i can come view them or can they see where and if my claim has been moving along or not. Because so far she wont tell me anything... Thanks.

From what I've gathered different PEBLOs can see different things. Some folks on here have PEBLOs who can apparently talk to Jesus. Others, like mine, can barely see their hand in front of their face. Get a VSO rep- they'll be far more help than your PEBLO.
