You are welcome, indeed! :)

All right! Congratulations on your wedding engagement and forthcoming marriage ceremony! :D

In my opinion, marriage is wonderful and I am truly blessed to have my wife in my life with our children!

To that extent, no worries...it's all good at this point in time! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

An hour after I messaged you I received a phone call from my VA liaison, my ratings are back and now just waiting on my PEBLO to contact me :)

Now, that's what I am talking about! :D Good deal!

So, did your VA liaison volunteer any DoVA proposed rating information?

Nonetheless, dependent upon your PEBLO's work ethics, he/she may or may not provide the DoVA proposed ratings prior to official receipt of the IPEB findings inclusive of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings; it's seems to be a regulatory issue albeit PEBLOs potentially do provide them in my opinion.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

He actually called me to schedule my exit brief because, "You signed your 199". After explaining that I hadn't received it yet he looked again and told me to hang tight, that my PEBLO will call me in a week or so to provide me with the ratings. I didn't ask what the findings were, figured he wouldn't mention it anyway. Guess it wouldn't have hurt to ask? But knowing that they are in is enough for me. Now, I just need to agree with them so I don't feel the need to appeal.

Indeed, I hope that your DoD and DoVA proposed ratings meet or exceed your expectations! :)

Agreed, since your MSC didn't offer up the proposed ratings; it's probably a mute point to make an inquiry.

Nonetheless, you can most definitely handle an additional week or two until receipt of the DA Form 199! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

I was just wondering....could your proposed ratings change from the time you get out the army and when the VA finalizes them if you are PDRL???

In retrospect, remember that a PDRL finding determination is final along with its associated ratings for the DoD.

To that extent, your DoVA proposed ratings could potentially change during the DoVA D-RAS' final ratings evaluation if there exist new medical evidence showing an improvement in the condition(s) in my opinion.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Reason # 1,000,001 why I can't stand this.. I refuse to call it a process... It's more like pergatory! I KNOW Va ratings dropped 4 August! I was all excited, since my unfit letter was give to me 15 January! Almost 8 months for a status change was met with great excitement! EXCEPT NOW I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE 3 WEEKS AWAITING A CALL! I'm over 8 months since my unfit! This is really wonderful!

Lurker here since Oct 2012. I saw a status change on that dreaded website that said: "Change of Status: We determined that your claim needed additional review. If additional evidence is needed from you, you will receive a letter from us explaining what is needed". I had been on the "Pending Decision Approval" until 16 Aug when it backtracked three steps to "Gathering of Evidence".
At the bottom is says "Requested separation documents" with a request date of 16 Aug and a due date of 15 Sep.
I have not signed anything. How can that be even a semi-accurate status?
I want to make sure that I am understanding this so that I don't poke my MSC and PEBLO unnecessarily.
Does this mean my ratings are in and I just have not been contacted?

Thanks in advance for responses.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

As I stated previously within this thread, it seems like a lot of "change of status" uploading occurred this past weekend.

With that and from an eBenefits processing trend perspective, it seems like your proposed ratings are indeed completed, and the DoVA D-RAS forwarded their "reason for decision" correspondence to the USAPDA PEB for IPEB findings adjudication.

To that extent and if the aforementioned assumption is validated, then you potentially should receive your IPEB findings inclusive of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings in about 15 days in my opinion.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

I wonder if the change status updates only applied to those who were still on Active Duty. Nothing has changed in my status and my claim is beyond the estimated completion date.

What Is your status on ebenefits?

In my opinion, your aforementioned assumption is probable but unfortunately I can't yield a validated and/or creditable response.

In retrospect, a recent PEB Forum member posted some interesting information as to the potential current disposition of the DoVA D-RAS located in Seattle, WA. To that extent, it was mentioned that the D-RAS has changed its processing focus of rating for current and former military service members in the DoD IDES process. The DoVA D-RAS seems to be focusing on the final benefits ratings of the former DoD IDES participants rather than the preliminary ratings of current DoD IDES PEB phase participants.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Unfortunately, not all active duty cases showed any status changes or updates. I can't even get a timely response to my IRIS inquiry. Sigh.

Ebenefits updates doesn't really make a difference whether you active duty or your retired!

For us retired vets, ebenefits is a little more reliable than for those still on active duty

Many thank for the warm welcome!
TBH, my file languished for many moons on the VA's desk. I filed a congressional that reached them on 6 Aug. I am not sure if it had an impact, but I can say that about seven others with varying timelines did the same thing. LO and behold, our statuses changed very quickly.

Oh, and my PEBLO just called.

My 199 is in. :D

In my case, there is no reliability as I have exceeded the estimated completion dates in just about every phase of my claim.

Yeah, Retired and waiting Ratings is probably better than still being Active and awaiting them! This is nerve wrecking!
