I got the same answer from my PEBLO that anyone gets - between 2 to 9 months. I've only ever spoken to the MSC once when I was doing my claims. My only concern with the whole thing is that Ebennies says "requested evidence past due - Development letter sent". I can just imagine that my file is lost somewhere out there and that I'm waiting in vain. Not trying to be pessimistic, but apparently that's what the IDES process does to folks...

Every stinking stage of this Med board - to include getting referred - has taken twice the amount of time as they had forecasted.

As @Billyballs stated, it's in your best interest to get in contact with your assigned MSC at this point!

To that extent, if no such luck with the MSC then contact the MEB Front Office, Patient Advocate and/or Ombudsman for potential assistance.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Been waiting on ratings for 113 days, not long at all. Checked ebenefits just a few minutes ago and claim went to Preparation for Decision sometime this afternoon with a Review of Evidence complete date of today. My question is, How long does it usually stay in prep for decision before it moves along to pending decision approval? Just wanting to know from some experiences

It varies from case to case. I have seen some be completed three days later and some a month later. It all depends . your getting close. Hang in there

Yeah I know I'm almost at the end. Was pretty awesome cause this morning I talked to my MSC and was still at review of evidence, then this afternoon I checked and it moved to prep for decision. Just hoping this last bit isn't much longer

My VA Rating posted today. 90%. I have no idea how that may translate to the Army, but eventually I am sure I will know.

I've been in review of evidence stage since Jan 21st. Called VA this morning nothing additional has been requested. can any of you guys give me an idea how long you sat in this stage that are done or nearing the end? Actually thinking of getting a day job at Walmart lol

Review and Gathering of Evidence is the longest stage. Once it goes to prep for decision you are nearing the end. Between 100-200 days is usually when ratings come in . It sucks. Trust me, we all know. You are going to literally go crazy looking at benefits and calling the hotline. Crazy F****** NUTS! But you will still check it no matter what any of us say. We know this. Because, we were all in your situation before. LOL. Hang in there bud.
 
Got told by the MSC today that a rater had my claim. Anybody know the averages right now it's taking for this part? Or Where I can find the averages online? Only have 1 unfitting and 2 total claimed so not really much to work on here. All claims are not really severe.

In my case my claim was with a rater for about 3-4 weeks. Hope this helps.

Alright thanks for the help. Seen where people were moving from prep for decision to pending decision approval in like 1 to 3 days. Didn't know if the VA had a site that showed the average for each phase or something

Just sit back relax and let the process play out itself. You will drive yourself bat crazy checking on it everyday. Just chill and make your plans on what you will do depending on the scenarios that might happen with this process. If you think you are getting out, then you need to focus on what comes after the military. You need to figure out what you will be doing after life in the service, because it's a rude awakening for the active guys as the adjustment is a little harsh. For guard and reserve it's not as much a shock to our lives as we are citizen soldiers and have a good ideal of how civilian life is and know it is not easy.

That's my advice to active guys is to take the time while waiting to plan your life after the military. Trying to just jump back into civilian life and the economy is not for the foolish. It hard for the civilians and it will be hard for you guys and girls as well coming back into a way of life that you haven't really experience in some time.

Appreciate the advice. Don't check on it everyday. Just trying to get some insight on how long this phase usually takes. Have everything planned out already. Already signed for the place to move into, got enrolled into school already as well. Just waiting on this process to be over so I can just start those things
 
Yes I see that a lot also. From prep decision to pending to complete in like a week.
 
Yeah I've been seeing that alot, but i've also seen where they've sat in there for months. They were saying places other than Seattle. Like winston salem and other places
 
Been at prep for decision-evidence requested is past due. This afternoon it's back at gathering of evidence without the evidence requested is past due. Anybody know what this possibly means? Also, just saw where it said requested separation documents with a date of today, and a due date of 26 April

Yeah i gave her a call as soon as I saw it changed. Caught her as she was walking out the door and my MSC is off work tomorrow to. How long does it usually take for it to get back to your peblo and also how long does it usually take to get your 199 back? That didn't take long at all! was in prep for decision for only 2 days, and completely skipped pending decision approval
