I found out were my claim is at in this process. I am wondering if you have any insite to where I am at. I feel the end is near, this is what I found out today.

Your claim is currently with the coach of the review team to determine if they have everything they need to send the file to the rating board. If they need anything else, they'll let you know. If they don't, it will be sent to the rating board for a preliminary rating. I will put it on my calendar to follow up next week and see if there has been any movement.

Unfortunately, no albeit this is very promising feedback from the DoVA at the time of posting in my opinion.

Hmm, any updates since receipt of the aforementioned VBA information? Wow; a DoVA calendar annotation with potential follow-up? Did this actually occur?

Which I am very excited about yet they are requesting something from the Seattle VAMC which I not sure what it is. I am hoping that I will be finding out something real soon. I am hoping to be out by March.

Indeed, you could make an inquiry with your assigned PEBLO and MSC for potential detailed explanation of what type of information the Seattle VAMC is requesting; and from whom; or from the VSO DAV representative if an authorization was previously completed & agreed upon?

Thanks for the information. I emailed my peblo this morning and I am just waiting on a reply from her. Would the request from the Seattle VAMC could they be for the 199?
So if it is at pending decision approval does this mean the PEB has my claim? From what I have gathered everything "should" move relatively quick from this point.

In my opinion, the Seattle VAMC is probably requesting medical information for clarification of a particular medical issue/concern which was probably discovered during the evaluation of your DoD IDES case file.

Indeed, it would be extremely nice if your DA Form 199 is currently being generated at this point which means that your DoVA proposed ratings are complete!

That's awesome news. Last time they needed clarification it only took a couple days for it to be completed. I just wish I could get a real concrete answer besides the +/- 295 days but each case is different. My fingers are crossed.

I had an interesting phone call from my MEB attorney and PEBLO yesterday. My VARR was returned without review yesterday (after 99 days).

My case was sent direct to the Physical Disability Board in DC for final processing. My VARR request was for a denial of service connection and the VARR memo stated they only review percentages.

In the grand scheme of things, it looks as if I will need to do a VA appeal once I get out, then the ABCMR to have the percentage applied to my medical retirement.

Quite a bit of bullshit for a simple clerical error (C&P used the term hemangioma rather than hemorrhage)

Man you are good just check ebenefits and it now has them receiving the requested documents from Seattle VAMC yesterday day the same day they asked for it. So everything looks like its all lined up.

Wow; as such, hmm I am not a bit surprised with the feedback you received from your MEB attorney and PEBLO in reference to your VARR request results unfortunately. It seems that the DoVA D-RAS didn't want to address "military service connection" issue while in the DoD IDES for your specific medical condition. Then, why take 99 days for a simply DoVA D-RAS percentage review of all PEB-referred condition(s).

Indeed, sad albeit true in my opinion. To that extent, I definitely concur with your intended VBA appeals strategy after military disability retirement for official correction. Then, onward to the ABCMR for potential application of the DoVA rating as a DoD rating for military disability retirement compensation revision.

Hmm, it seems that I potentially shall have to perform similar actions for correction of my forthcoming military disability retirement; who shall initially receive their approved DoD IDES case file from HQ USAPDA for military disability retirement?

I'm going to have to trust that the Army PDB will keep the condition as service connected and unfitting (per the DA199) and not change my medical retirement to severance pay.

Indeed, I would tend to believe that the HQ USAPDA shall validate the IPEB findings inclusive of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings at this point then issue a formal recommendation for approval to SecArmy for military disability retirement!

Mines took 5 months post retirement out of Seattle to expect 1-5 months, whoever you spoke with should have given you a bigger window than 30 days

I should clarify that I was told by the VA phone bank a decision should have been made for my final ratings within 30 days of my retirement. However it would take up to 140 days to be notified of the decision.

Still incorrect once they finish you final ratings you'll get the notification letter in the mail within a week, I live in NC and my notification letter came in 3 days out of Seattle

I retired June 30th 2013. It is now FEB 2014 and no response from VA Regional Office Seattle on my "Final Rating" is this odd or is anybody else been waiting around 7 months or longer to receive thier Final VA Rating?
