Thanks, Brett! I am fine with an additional 20 day wait as long as it keeps moving in a positive direction lol, I am just happy to see some movement, finally! I have already registered for school which is about 3 hours from where I am at now and it is supposed to start in Jan. I will probably have to push it back, but I am hopeful that the transition between terminal leave and school will be seamless due to the difference in pay and lack of BAH. There has been screw ups and missed goals throughout my board and I could have been done had those not happened. Oh well, such is life in the good ol' army!Good to hear, my paperwork was in prep for decision for about 20 days until I heard back, seems like the process goes quickly after that. Best of luck to you!

MSG Hawk,
I'm thinking you are AGR. If not, I don't know how MDay's are processed.
I believe that is how VA works. I am AGR going through (almost done) the process.
VA does the preliminary or proposed ratings that are sent to the PEB,
the PEB generates the DA 199, and sends it all to the PEBLO.
We concur and sign (or nonconcur and don't -rebuttal process and drag it out if we need to), and do the outprocess thing.
When we come to the end of the line - Retire/ETS/Final Day of Active Duty - the VA uses our DA 214 to finalize our claim and release our disability pay.
If in any of this I am wrong, I would appreciate being corrected for the good of the masses.

63 days into the VA ratings phase (hopefully half way there ish lol)Anyone know how the holidays effect the va process? I wouldn't want the raters to miss the holidays, I'm just curious if I can consider December as a wash and assume an extra 3 weeks or so. My common sense says yes just thought maybe someone knows something for sure.
I could be wrong, but this has been my experience so far with how things are going, I am active duty though. Once you get your DD214 you take it to your MSC or VA representative in your MEB office. They use that to close your initial IDES process and open a new case to finalize your ratings. This takes a few months from MSC and PEBLO information. Also, something I did not know, my military retirement pay as an E6 with 8.5 years is higher then my 60-70% VA medical retirement check, by $500; so I will receive pay from the DOD as opposed to the VA.Just received a call from my PEBLO. 90% DOD 90% VA TDRL!
That's great news but as I was talking to him, He made the comment that since I'm NG I won't get a pay check until the VA ratings are finalized.
Now I've been on this forum for a while and I'm pretty sure he is wrong by saying that since I'm guard and haven't reached 20 years for retirement that DOD won't pay me but I'm looking for anyone to give me the right answer.
Congrats man, it should be really soon you are on the same timeline as me. Now is the time to constantly bug your PEBLO and get a memo to start clearing CIF early, it will really help out.So my ratings were complete as of NOV. 8.........YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! Been at the PEB since. Wish they would hurry it up a little faster and get that packet to the PEBLO so i can plan my move!!!!!
I am in the same boat, I have until the 16th of December for my final answer as to whether I start on the 6th of January for Winter Term. I need the BAH from VocRehab to kick in as soon as possible since DOD check will take months and SSDI is not going to be done for a while. Thanks, Brett! I am fine with an additional 20 day wait as long as it keeps moving in a positive direction lol, I am just happy to see some movement, finally! Entirely correct, Ebenefits is only useful for IDES members, if the case worker on the VA side updates it. If they do update it, take it with a grain of salt.I'm not trying to crush anybodys hopes and dreams but I think those of us that are active duty (regardless of service) are putting too much faith in Ebenefits. I don't think that it is accurate or keeps up with where they packet actually is. My PEBLO KNOWS that my packet is at the PEB (after ratings) and should be back to him within days. He is absolutely emphatic about that. My dashboard lines up with that. My Ebenefits has not changed in over 3 months. I think that Ebenefits is geared more for those that are already out.
Any thoughts?
So like I posted last night, my claim went to the Preparing for Decision phase on Saturday 23Nov. Well, I just checked again and now it has moved to "Pending Decision Approval". Here's to hoping I'm about done!
Hey Grizz,Very interesting, this does seem pretty weird, I'd call the hotline or do an IRIS inquiry.
How do I go about doing an iris inquiry?
Ey guys can anyone answer this base on legit experience...
Mine went back to STATUS: gathering evidence / CLAIM TYPE: compensation and when i click my open claim (the date) it stated this:
