Can you be as kind to provide feedback: Did you receive you final rating yet? if so how long did it take from your seperation/retirement date? I retired on 29 JUN and hope it takes no longer than 3 months? Also, did you get your retirement check in one or two months after discharge?
I retired April 18th but still have yet to receive my final ratings, so almost 5 month wait as of now!!
And as far as my first retirement check yes i got it about 30 days after retirement, and also your first retirement check can be sent to you anyday of the month after they establish your retirement account but every payment after will come on the first of every month

My packet was sent to Seattle 31 July 13, no word as of yet, but just being patient as I can be. I know times can be long and hard without hearing anything, so I just make sure I e-mail my PEBLO every week (Mondays) and just say I am checking in, sometimes he replies with unfortunately we haven't heard anything yet, or here is your NARSUM or here is your PEB memo, etc. I am hoping to have my Preliminary ratings by end of August, if following the IDES timeline that I was given, should be between 17-20 August I am just being patient in saying by end of August "hopefully". How is your process going for you?

Hello. So underneath is my timeline. I called the VA last week. (Seattle) they told me something was missing and they received it on July 26. Now what? What does his mean? Ughhhhh
On another note my squad leader received a phone call saying that he is getting his 199 in 2 weeks. He has been waiting for ratings since March 2013, so about 5montha waiting on ratings.

I am at day 209 on waiting on the VA. My packet was sent 22 JAN. I have a question though I now have a feeling I will be waiting much longer now. I had been at prep for decision since 30 APR and filed a congressional on 31 JULY. My Ebenefits just changed today back to gathering evidence and is now showing what we need from others with upstate NY VAMC. Does this mean they want new exams or something from the VA up here and they have until 11 OCT 2013 to provide whatever is being requested. I called my DAV rep to find out what is going on but they are all at a national training until Friday. I called my PEBLO but of course he doesnt answer. I am trying to figure out what this might mean for me as I just dropped a leave packet to take all 73 days I have so I could start school at the End of the month while I waited on my 199 to come back. Should I be thinking about withdrawing from school at this point or is it possible my ratings are done. I am just so frustrated right now not going what is going and wanting to move forward with my life. Im tired of the VA games and the Army games I just want it over with all ready.
I'm pretty sure that you ratings are complete and your just waiting on 199, if it went back to gathering of evidence! Mines did the same besides what we need from other was from Fort Bragg VAMC

Combat Eng Hopefully your right and my ratings are done that would be wonderful. That is a good point maybe she's there to answer the phones to let everyone know they are at the national conference so people don't think they are avoiding everyone. Thank you for providing a ray of hope.
Hurry up and wait of course. Nothing has really rubbed me the wrong way thus far, I've read on here where it seems like the average wait for VA is 3-4 months with a few exceptions lasting well beyond that. Here is my timeline as of now
5/16/13 - referral to MEB
5/20/13 - PEBLO counseling
5/21/13 - MEB briefing
5/22/13 - Pre C&P interview and meeting with VA MSC
6/7/13 - Mental QTC Appointment
6/10/13 - Mental telephonic interview with Dr writing mental NARSUM
6/14/13 - Physical QTC Appointment
6/21/13 - PEBLO's CA notified me that my QTC exams were in
7/1/13 - PEBLO's CA notified me that the NARSUM's were in and the 3947 was being forwarded for signatures
7/8/13 - PEBLO issued complete packet to me to concur - Fails retention standards for Bilateral Shoulders and PTSD
7/10/13 - MEB packet forwarded to PEB (Fort Sam Houston, TX)
7/15/13 - Unfit memo (not received until 7/31/2013...) Findings forwarded to VA (not sure which one though)

If you are on ebenefits, click on your date of claim, and underneath the timeline it should have where your claim is located - which VA regional office. Your PEBLO should also be able to tell you - but ebenefits is probably quicker.

Was reading your timeline, yeah, I think we are all in typical hurry up and wait process,
and all we can do is be patient, and just be as proactive as we can throughout the process. I notice you are unsure of where your Memo for PEB went for your ratings, so if you look at your PEB Memo that stated you were unfit, in the Memorandum For (at the top) it is directly under the ARISM Symbol (AHRC-DPE-N is what mine shows) and the date, the location your ratings are coming from will be listed as this"MEMORANDUM FOR, Department of Veterans Affairs, Auburn Processing Center (IDES), 1901 C Street SW, Auburn, WA 98001"
Know depending on the location your memorandum went for your ratings, that is the location you will find who it sent to, hope this helps.
I called my peblo this am and he said nothing was showing. So I called the va msc and was informed that the va is requesting more information on my knee. So my false hope is gone again and now I wait more. Hopefully they get the info quick and I can move on with life.
Im surprised the just didnt defer it until they finalize your ratings post retirement!

Me personally with my claim they wanted better quality pictures of my scars but instead of holding my claim hostage any longer they just deferred my scars and sent off my proposed rating
Then after i retired i sent them the pictures they need for the completion of my final rating ( which ive been waiting almost 5 months for)
