Kinda nervous because my condition is so weird, thyrotoxic periodic paralysis. So hopefully all goes well. My PEBLO has been great. Extremely helpful...we used to work together in the medical records room so I already knew she was going to be great. Here's my timeline so far...

RILO Processing 6.20.2012
Full MEB Initiated 7.02.2012
IDES Brief 7.23.2012
VA Appts 9.18-20.2012

The only thing I didn't like was that my appointments aren't for another 2 months. I wish it'd go a liiiitttllleee bit faster because the office is already starting to treat me like an outsider just because of this whole process. Anyway...whatchu guys think? AFPC wanted the this turned in by 28 Sept 2012 lol. Will we make it with my appointments 10 days before?

Below was my timeline from Scott AFB as well, hope this helps. I totally agree that our PEBLO was/is great.

Sept. 15th 2011 - Was told I would be going through the Medical Board process by my PCM.
Nov. 4th - Met with PEBLO and was told I would be going through IDES.
Nov-Dec - Met with VA for all my conditions. Had 6 appointments in all.
Dec 22nd - Signed paperwork with PEBLO sent package in.
April 23rd - Received results. 100% Permanent Retirement, 100% from VA.
May 4th - Received orders
July 28th - Last day of service

It took me just over 7 months to get my results and they had to extend me six months past high year tenure to get it done.

Oh wow. Good to know that you're taken care of. How was the transition/outprocessing?

Very easy. By the time I was ready to outprocess I had been out of work and at home for 6 months so there were a few hoops to go through but overall not bad. However, it was hard being basically abandoned by my work center but I can undersatnd the awkwardness of someone who is sick and can't work.

Be prepared to have everything hit at once when you get your orders. So go ahead and request copies of dental and medical records soon because that takes a month or so to get those back. Other than that everything is just a waiting game. You will get crap at work, either silent or spoken. Nobody really understands what you are going through but you. Don't take crap and do not push yourself past your own capabilities. Nobody at your work center will know the process and if they push you casually mention that you are being medically boarded and that you have to ask your PEBLO about what they are giving you crap about. It usually ends there as they do not want to involved with something they know nothing about.

Stay strong, good luck and it does get better.
