Hello everyone,
I orignially sent this to Jason but noticed he is may be on leave so anyone is welcome to answer.
My husband is undergoing meb for Chronic back pain 5243 @ 10% at safc level. He was actually in treatment phase when the PCM began the process and the PCM used all old consultations, 180 days past 90 day allowance.
No matter, since he does not miss work and only needed PT modifications he really have improved since the MEB began. However, no time was allotted for healing after a 3 month treatment.
Moving forward, MEB has been in process since Aug 2010 and finally at SAFPC 3 weeks ago with NO answer. We are wondering if it would be wise to ask the lawyer to request a new narsum be conducted to show current health status, as others have been given that opportunity.
At this point the NARSUM is 1 year old, medical MRI's and the ROM is almost 2 years old with no updates. The current military PCM did send a good letter stating I am not missing work and am doing much better. So that may help but again should we have the lawyer send something else up quickly before they make a decision?
Also once the packages is being reviewed how long did it seem to take to get a response? It has been 3 weeks already and no one has informed us of anything.
Any words of wisedom would be great.
