Retirement granted

I recently received the letter stating that I would be put on the permanent disability retired list. What is the time frame and following steps? I was discharged with severance but the VA already withheld the amount. What happens in regards to that? Also the VA had me rated initially at 60% for between 2&3 years. I read a forum post where the VA goes back since I was retired and owes me. I'm not too sure of the last part because it was someone else posting. I have been compensated by the VA the entire time that I have been out is it right for me to assume that I won't see a back pay check?

Its worth noting that the entire severance pay is in error so the money DFAS paid for severance will become a debt to be paid back.

If you've already paid your severance back to the VA it won't be recouped again. I would contact the VA to verify receipt of the payments you made if you don't have a letter already. When mine was paid back they sent me a letter and told me when my pay would go back up. They will have to back pay you from 2005 to present that's a fact. Especially if you've already paid your severance back already. I wouldn't worry about it.
