Got a letter yesterday.
Subject: Retention on Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL) - Informal Reconsideration
1. This Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) has reconsidered its previous rating of 13 Nov 08. As a result of that review, the PEB recommends that you be retained on the TDRL with reexamination on or about July 2010.
2. Since you have been retained on the TDRL, your disability rating remains unchanged, therefore, no appeal of these proceedings is authorized. If, upon review, the U.S. Army Physical Disability Agency modifies the recommendation, you will be notified and advised of your appeal rights.
3. For additional information about the Ft. Lewis PEB and the Army Physical Disability Evaluation System, visit our web site at: https://www.hrc.army.mil/active/site/tagd/pda/ftlfront.htm
SO.... when I appealed, I requested a formal board. My attorney felt I should be placed onto PDRL, more importantly he felt my right knee should have been included in the first FPEB. I have two concerns:
1. Now I have to go through this all over again in 18 months, I don't look forward to the stress AGAIN! It causes major set backs each time.
2. I have a lawyer now who feels my knee should have been included previously, what happens if my lawyer at the next one does not agree and doesn't push for this? I feel like I had a good representative and now among all my other worries is that next time I won't.
I know its worrying about what I can't control, but that is kind of what I do now. I get anxious about the stuff I shouldn't...
When I requested a formal board with appearance, don't they have to give me the board?
I know this seems strange, but going through this a 3rd time just isn't something I want to deal with.
Any advice?
thanks,
Dan

I am sorry for your struggles.
What an awesome background she has though, they treat PTSD with lots and lots of pills, she can offer something different.
TRICARE needs to take care of this.
But it is a small world.
