I was told by HQMC that Reservists, even if they were (and still are) on ADOS at the time of starting their PEB, would not be eligible for TERA.
I've got 16.5 accumulated active duty years (23 reserve sat years). I have been on ADOS, uninterupted since 2022. The MARADMIN states:
"Marines found unfit by the PEB must have 15 but fewer than 20 years of active service and be willing to waive the PEB findings and proceedings in order to apply for TERA. PEB findings must be “unfit” in order to be considered for TERA. Marines can apply for TERA after accepting their “unfit” findings. "
I fall within this category 100%, however the MARADMIN also states: "AC and AR TERA requests"
My understanding is that ADOS orders, being active duty under Title 10, align the individual with AC eligibility for TERA.
I am being told that as a reservist (even though I'm on ADOS), I do not qualify.
Does anyone have experience/knowlegde with this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Everyone had always said I qualify (including my DES attorney).
Thank you!
