Hey all, just wanted to inquire if anyone has knowledge on this since I got my NLT date Friday and everyone is off work.
I received my NLT date as of 28SEP25 which is concurrent with my original ETS Date. As of today, I only have 72 days to clear and use all my leave and PTDY instead of 90 days. I'm attempting to maximize the 90 day window due to currently waiting on a job offer so that I can decide to stay local or move back home and go to college.
The IDES office contacted me after I received my NLT from Retirement Services Office that they are approved to submit a request to extend my original ETS Date for 30 days so that I may have the full 90 day window to separate.
I was wondering how the process works after the request is approved. I'm hearing different things about having to submit a 4187 to request NLT extension, while the retirement services office is saying that I'll just get a new NLT date after my request is approved. If anyone has details or information regarding the matter, it would be very appreciated.
