Requesting leave or home awaiting orders

Whats up guys, I signed my final findings on July 24th. From that point on im told I will have a new EAS(end of active service) 15-21 days after. Well its the 23rd government business day. I really considering taking my last 9.5 days of leave so i can get away from all the Marines that are constantly on my back about this process. Does anyone think this would affect the process of my new EAS at HQ Marine corps?

HOA will probably take longer than your new EAS.

Ask for leave, worst they can say is no.

As for changes to your EAS with HQMC? I don't see how anything you want to do would have any impact. The most important piece of info I can give you is don't leave your duty station without your DD-214's. It's far easier for issues to be addressed when you are still stationed with the unit. Once you leave it could be significantly harder to have admin fix anything.

Thanks for the help man, my new eas posted last night ( new EAS is 9-29-2012) And i got 30 days of terminal leave(including my ptad in with that). Basically im going to be spending most of my terminal packing and move. I went to ipac outbound to hopefully get orders for dmo and disbursing to start my paperwork but they turned me away saying my DD680 hasn't posted on 3270. Ipac said it could be a week, which i just keep getting shoved into a corner into a tighter spot. Anybody got an idea of how long the DD860 takes to post?
