Hello , hope someone can answer. Today, May 4 2016, MPD (transition center) got a notice to start work on my orders BUT I did not go on pre-separation briefing yet by reason of non-acquaintance. Going there on Tuesday, May 10. But MPD show me the last day in their system, which is July 28. So the question is can I request to get out earlier? And how do I make it happened?
Also, I have 45 leave days safed and I want to put on terminal leave.

Since yo used the acronym MPB, I am going to assume your are Army.

Yes, you can get out earlier than your NLT date, there are a couple of options, the first is to take terminal leave, in which you can sign out, get your DD-214 (post dated) and await for the last day to come. After the last day, you are Veteran and begin that status.

The second option is to request the soonest date as possible and sell back your leave. If you are currently getting BAH, this option may not be financially beneficial.

Thank you for your answer! Yes I am Army. Just want to make it clear: terminal leave has to end on NLT (ETS) day (July 28 in my case) but I don't have a hard copy of orders yet, because for them(Tranition center) to cut my orders I have to visit Separation (levy) briefing. And then I gotta bring DA 31 SIGNED by Bn commander ( because my leave takes more then 30 days), - again TOLD BY MPD/transition center personnel. So here's my confusion - how do I put on terminal leave if TECHICALLY orderly room/ commander/ s-1/ Bn commander will not be able see correct NLT/ETS date which MPD has. Do I ask for some paper showing they date ?!?!
Thank you

Coordinate with your PEBLO. The retirement section will coordinate the signatures of the DA-31. In my case, at the transition center I went to finance where they calculated the leave dates. I had a worksheet to fill out during the out processing briefing.

My date with the transition center was in March, my NLT date was in May. I was at the transition center for two days, the first day was the briefings, finance appt, etc. The second day my DA-31, retirement orders and DD-214 were ready to pick up. Signed them, got in a cab and went to the airport.
