Friday I received proposed ratings from PEB. I was awarded 50% DOD, and 80% VA. I will go in and sign acceptance on Friday, but I am in the dark as to what lies ahead. I have followed others through their process and have learned soo much up til now. The problem that I picked up on was most people stopped posting once they recieved their rating and were discharged. So I would love some insight from those that can shed some light on my future. Also if anyone is aware of HR 186, is their any rough estimated timeframe out there?
**Thanks to all who have so graciously shared their expierences thus far. It has helped me through this difficult time tremendously.

Good luck, I am close too and not sure what is next. I got my VA proposed ratings but been waiting on the 199 for about 3 weeks now.

What lies a head has a lot to do with if you are TDRL or PDRL

Look at my link in my signature area of what to expect after signing the 199, it will help your tremendously!

I just got the results from my board on Thursday after being on TDRL for 5 years. They transferred me to PDRL and bumped my % from 30 to 50. They told me nothing else; I had to ask. Sounds like the Navy is going to send me some mystery paperwork 4-6 weeks from the day I was transferred to PDRL. Once I get this paperwork, I can get my Tricare back and go get a new ID card and resume life. They are also going to forward my results to DFAS to see if they will owe me anything as the VA already pays my disability. My PEB paperwork says "Your permanent retirement will take affect in approximately twelve (12) weeks after the PEB receives your acceptance. DFAS will compute your monthly-retired pay". I then walked those results over to the DAV and had them put in the request for increase of disability.

Hello Jason,
Thank you for the reply! I am PDRL(sorry I didn't put this earlier), so I will not have to deal with the TDRL stuff. I appreciate your sharing and congratulations on your upgrade=)

once you accept your findings PEB will turn around and notify HQMC MMSR-4 which is the disability branch at HQMC. MMSR-4 will then issue you a new EAS (usually around 60 days out or so from when you accepted your findings). make sure you start as much of your separations stuff done now as you can so you're not running around like a mad man at the last minute. SEPS/TAPS is a must, they won't give you your DD214 without it so if you haven't done it I suggest you get with your career planner like yesterday to get this locked on.

Congrats. Tricare should still be active. There is no lapse from TDRL to PDRL. It takes them a few weeks to place you on PDRL, but no healthcare coverage is lost. If for some reason they say it lapsed, etc. please PM me.
