Hello, I am in the process of filing for an increase to my ratings ( Originally rated at 70% trying to get 100%) as physically my conditions have gotten worse. I just have a few questions and would greatly appreciate any insight. My question is since I have not been seen by a VA doc or PCM in regard to these issues, will that affect how I am rated? Would it be simpler to use a VSO or do this all on my own? Also, while on the Ebenefits site it wanted me to download the Hip and thigh conditions DBQ and the foot miscellaneous ( Other than flat foot/pesplanus) DBQ but they would not allow me. I was wondering are they still using the forms because according to VA.gov they don't seem to be and if they still do could anyone send a copy ( I tried googling and couldn't find them). The last question, I know the process as a whole will take a long time which I'm prepared for but I was just wondering what the overall process entailed.

Hello,

You probably know this, but occasionally a veteran will submit a claim for an increase and he she ends up with a decrease in rating.

Using a skilled VSO is a good idea. You might ask fellow vets in your area about who to put your trust in.

One of the PEB forum members recently downloaded several DBQs. You can use the Search feature at upper right corner of this page to search for them.

The process?
See this discussion: The VA claim process after you file your claim | Veterans Affairs <---LINK

I've noticed some VA claims being rated within two months. It was one-two years when I first applied.

I have never used VA care for my medical care except glasses and I have been rated 100% for a long time.

@RonG I have seen the DBQs were supposed to be no longer public from the VA, is that true?

I have read the same thing on this board. You might check with @tony292 for more info. He is the local expert regarding those forms.
