Indeed, that's outstanding news; congratulations to your receipt of favorable IPEB findings! :D Take care and enjoy!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer!"

Best Wishes!

Congrats Brother!

Congrats on your ratings! I have one question for you when you are notified of your ratings your peblo gives you both right not just va? I ask because the va said they sent over a proposed letter and I should literally be hearing back this week? I'm just a little confused on this part of the process.

The PEBLO gives you the proposed ratings for both DoD and the VA.

Within the 10 business days after it's says completed in historical claims correct?

Yeah the va told me I had a letter in the mail to..that never showed up. Yeah my Peblo gave me both dod and va ratings along with an explanation go every condition and why it was rated the way it was.

The letter sent out is meant to go to the Peblo. Some reps fail to realize that so they tell you that they sent you a letter but it isn't really going to you. It's going to the Peblo to relay to you. If you weren't within the IDES process, as a veteran, when they finished up ratings, a letter really would be mailed out to you. But this isn't the case due to the steps and the process it all must go through within the IDES process. Hope that helps. And congrats to you D_street.

Ok thanks that helps a lot more So it was within the 10 days after showing up in historical that you were informed? Did you sign your da199 at that same time you were notified? Or when does that happen more or less. Sorry for the questions but my peblo isn't very informative all she said is just wait don't ask questions blah blah. But your answers are explaining a lot I really do appreciate the feedback

I know you were directing it at someone else but I'll share my experience. My claim went historical in June. I didn't get my ratings from the VA/DOD via Peblo until August 1. Once it goes historical, it will be sent back to the PEB so that the VA ratings can be applied to the unfitting conditions. This is just another step in the process. Some can get lucky and receive their VA proposed ratings by chatting with a VA rep. I did that way. They will fax them. But keep in mind those are your VA ratings only. Your DOD ratings and VA ratings package with all the explanations will come from your peblo. Hope that helps. It's said you have to wait until at least 10 days after going historical to request your proposed ratings from the VA. They are not always accommodating though. Goodluck!

Yup sure does help. Thank you so either way I shouldn't be waiting much longer. I hope I can start my final leave at the beginning or mid Jan.

My PEBLO got my ratings and called me before she even printed them off to set up an appointment. She was able to give me my percentages over the phone, only confirming my calculations, and set up an appointment for the same day. My process has gone smooth and quick. PEB, VA ratings, and back to the PEB took less than three weeks before my Peblo called me. You have ten days from the day you sit down with your Peblo to seek legal counsel and make a decision. Legal is sitting down with me thursday to explain crsc (for PTSD and Tbi) so I will have a much better idea of that process. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message but I can only speak off of my case and the case of a friend of mine. I for some reason have had the smooth and quick route while his has been rough and longer but we started at the same time. Hope this helps.

Crsc (combat related special compensation) the way it was explained to me is that it is another way the army compensates you for disabilities that are determined to happen because of combat. You can google army crsc and get a pretty decent idea of what it is. I do know it is calculated differently, and I also know it is a pretty sizable chunk of change depending on what you're awarded (according to jag mine will be about 640 a month)
