Good morning everyone,
I received my DA199 this morning along with my VA Rating proposal. DOD has given me 50% with PDRL. I'm currently waiting on Legal to reach back out but I had some questions while going through the document.
I got referred for MEB due to PTSD resulting from my Afghanistan deployment. The trauma roots from not-so-nice things you see and experience in those areas.
I was initially educated that the V codes is what determines if the condition is combat related or not; which will also aid in tax benefits if necessary and applying for CRSC. What it seems like to me is that Section V and the first part of Section VI state that it's not combat-related, but the last sentence in Section VI states that the condition is combat-related. I know that legal will clear this up for me whenever I can get a hold of them but it seems like an administrative error on my part which could be an easy fix without having to request an FPEB.
Please let me know what you guys think!
