Question about PTSD

I was doing my VA appointments today for my PEB and the doctor that was doing the interview said that the symptoms that I am having are due to PTSD.

I went to Iraq in 08 for 7 months. The symptoms that he said were related to PTSD are Acid Reflux,Eczema (which I've seen a dermatologist for and confirmed and the VA doctor said it's hives), and IBS. He said that all three of these are due to stress.

What constitutes PTSD? Does this mean that they are going to lump all of those things together and they won't be evaluated individually? What are the percentage ranges that the VA gives you for PTSD if I am found to have it?

I am going to the PEB for a bilateral knee condition. Will they take the stuff the found today such as torn ligaments in my hips, degenerative spine, and the PTSD in to account when they do the board?

Thanks in advance

They take everything into account if each is unfitting, or if their not unfitting they take all of your conditions into account as a whole to see if all together they are unfitting. For a successful PTSD rating (Btw Its usually given TDRL at the PEB) it requires some significant evidence (combat stress, occuring from wartime simulations/events/etc) and the symptoms have to limit duty. Acid reflux, eczema, and IBS are very bland (not discounting the seriousness of them tho) and I think you may need more major symptoms to constitute a PTSD diagnosis that the board will find unfitting as those symtpoms brought on by stress can be attributed to "stress" from to many different causes and you really want to narrow down the diagnosis to PTSD as the psychs on the PEB could easily say MDD or Adjustment disorder symptoms or say they have nothing to do with PTSD without the major contributing factors and symptoms of PTSD, does that make sense?
