Question about my IRIS query

I put in an IRIS query about my IDES case and received a response I don't quite understand. I was found unfit for duty 12 Aug 2013. Ever since I have been waiting on my proposed ratings and am now over 170 days waiting on ratings. My MEB was started back in June 2013. Here is the part I don't understand.

""As we researched your records, we determined you currently have a claim in process under the Disability Evaluation System (DES). We received your claim on June 12, 2013, for multiple conditions. Our records indicate a preliminary rating was completed on August 12, 2013. The rating was forwarded to the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) on August 12, 2013.""

It goes on to say after the DD214 they will review to adjust for my final rating if needed. So are my ratings done or are they just wrong?

Hmm, a very interesting statement within your IRIS inquiry since you stated that your are still awaiting receipt of rating for over 170 days. Have you called your PEBLO and/or MSC to inform them of the IRIS inquiry feedback?

Moreover, your PEBLO has the capability to look into the ePEB to validate the PEB's receipt of DoVA proposed ratings on 12 August 2013 or not. As such, the MSC has the capability to look into the VTA to validate the completion of DoVA proposed ratings and the corresponding date it was forwarded to the PEB.

Nonetheless, something seems a little off at this point in time! Please make that inquiry with your PEBLO and/or MSC now in my opinion!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Looks like your ratings been complete since August and your without your 199, if I was you I'll call the VA 1800# see if you get the same response as the IRIS and if so take a trip to your PEBLO and get some answers

Warrior644's response was spot on- have your PEBLO check EPeb, but do not be surprised if there are discrepancies. I have had clients call after receiving combined results where EBenefits still showed claims pending or under development. However, I doubt that your servicing PEB has been sitting on preparing an updated DA-199. There is some discrepancy here- check it out through your PEBLO.

So after calling the VA 1800# and talking to my MSC after, it seems that someone doesn't quite know what they are doing. They told me they are waiting on the DD214 (discharge orders). I explained that I am active duty and can't get that to them until I receive the proposed ratings. They are basically saying they sent preliminary ratings to the PEB before the fit/unfit determination. I am thinking this is just the results from my C&P exams because I have definitely not received proposed ratings.

So it appears that my case has just been sitting there waiting for a DD214 that would never come before they would have ever done my proposed ratings. She put in a note that they cant get my DD214 until I get proposed ratings. Hopefully that gets things going.
