Proposed Ratings request slowing down the timeline?

I'm on day 80 of waiting for the PEB findings to come back. Halfway through May I called the VA to see if they were done with their portion; they told me they finished on April 29th and sent it back. Since they were finished they offered to send me a copy of the proposed ratings. Today I talked to the ombudsman since it's taking so long, and they and my PEBLO were surprised that I had a copy.

Does me requesting a copy of the proposed ratings actually slow down the process? This is all computer records back and forth between the MEB, PEB, and VA correct? Am I holding the copy that was supposed to go back to the PEB?

Normally the VA sends the ratings to DoD and not the member. It is unusual, but not unheard of, for a member to get the ratings directly from the VA until the PEB has made a decision.

I'm not sure why the PEB is taking so long. But this is not unusual either.

Yea I don't believe so I got a copy of mines after I called as well via fax. Sometimes the PEB just takes forever.

My MSC gave me a copy of my proposed ratings the day after they were completed. I don't see how it would slow down the process for you. The VA sends them directly to drilling reservists when they send them to the PEB.
