Yes it was. He did give me an option of submitting evidence after I separate but told me if I was able to provide a letter beforehand I wouldn’t have to wait a year to get my findings re-evaluated.

Also, as an old CO of mine used to ask, “is the lemon worth the squeeze?” Is all of this extra work going to make a difference with anything in the end? Will it be worth it in the end? That’s the question I would ask yourself and the JAG.

Yes. Well, if all goes well, the request would increase my DoD rating to at least 50%. My provider wrote a letter that aligned with a higher percentage rating, providing examples that aligned with the 50% verbiage, instead of the original 30% that I was given. I definitely thank you for the advise. I'm hoping for good results. Since it was the day before Thanksgiving when I got ahold of my attorney and I was not able to meet physically, just over the phone, I wish that I was able to ask more questions.

Also, if you get it increased to 50% (there’s no guarantee), then your VA should increase some, as well. Right now, it’s hard to say without knowing each percentage and doing the math through the VA’s little formula.

Yes. Thank you for your input! I will submit the request on Monday. I will not have to do another C&P exam, from what I understand they will base the decision on what my provider wrote and my medical record probably. I will find more out when I do submit it, hopefully the counseling will provide more information about it and how it will affect my timeline.
