"Disturbing reports are coming to light everyday about these burn pits and the toll they are taking on the health of many of our service men and women."

I was in Balad 2007 and built GBU-38/12's (bombs) and everytime the wind shifted we would get bronchitis and I had pus coming out from under my toe nails, the doc said he didn't know what was causing it but it wasn't the burn pits or the anthrax vaccine? And right now I have a but load of health problems.... (sleep apnea, waiting for neck surgery, and have neuro problems that they are still looking at) at least I'm on AGR orders....this site has really been a help for me...thanks Jason.

Group,
Has there been any ties of birth defects / health problems to exposure? Both my wife and I served in OIF. She was 04-05 stationed at Anaconda and I was 05-06 stationed at Q-west and travelled the great roads of Iraq as a rolling target. Since she was deployed 2 weeks after we were married and then I flew over the day she came back, we waited until my return to have a child. Our child has breathing issues, skin rashes, and is allegeric to multiple things. Neither of us have a family history of the problems my little one has and our other children don't have them either.

Please let me know if there has been any discussion of these problems. I just find it highly suspicious. I understand that all of us were exposed to several things and it does come with our duty, but having to breathe all the crap (oil fires, burn bits, sprayed with pesticides, etc) and to find out some of it could have been avoided-- really bothers me.

Thanks
