Hello,

I have just started a podcast going over some basics and key takeaways from my journey 2 years ago. It’s on Spotify now Warrior Research Society and I have posted documents on Patreon.com/warriorresearchsociety The Patreon stuff is all public so it is free to copy and paste or read through. I just am not very tech savy so Patreon is easy to use, has a nice format, and you can message directly in the app on your phone. I follow Warrior Poet Society and he uses it and I really liked it so I followed suite. PEBForum was my guide during my timeline and I wanted to break down some key parts in audio form for people to use along with this forum. Some buddies asked me to do it. With the current Afghanistan situation and our current leadership there are a lot of questions they are asking me about the process, timeline, and end benefits from medical retirement.

I am not even close to as knowledgeable as the people that started and run PEBForum; however I thought putting basics and overviews and recommendations on an audio type format may help some at least get the starting information. Then you can dive in and out of PEBForum for direct guidance on specific cases. Or you can reach out to me about anything through Patreon. I will figure out how to post audio on YouTube with the kids help so it will be there as well but for now just on spotify. I have some buddies listening to them before i post them and making recommendations so that helps. I am hoping it will be a true "society" though and we can all share things we have seen and learned in our medical journeys and I in turn can talk about it on Podcast form. I kept putting this off because I didn't want the kids to stumble across it one day; however based on all the questions I am getting lately I think it is time to assist in any way I can as well.

I am a retired SFC U.S. Army. I had been trying to keep my conditions off the Army radar for many years and researching treatments and paying for out of the box type therapies trying to retain my career until a doctor of mine finally called the Army with concerns and that ended in MEB referral and Medical Retirement.

My conditions and symptoms are all posted on Patreon, all my medical treatments, medications, ext and what they did or didn't do for me. I can tell you even if your conditions don't get better you will be in a better place once you are past the stress of the MEB/PEB/VA Application/SSDI Application, ext. In the moment it seems hopeless at times but keep putting up that good fight. After I was done with everything I moved to a different state with a lower population, got away from all negative environments, and started concentrating on the kids and even though I am still not medically good I am mentally much better.

The podcast I will also go down the road of information I have learned about the brain. TBI - Minor TBI MTBI - CTE - White Matter Disease - Dementia - PTSD - PTS - Multiple Sclerosis - and much more. A lot of those things overlap symptoms so it is hard to find the answer. I still haven't found it yet; however I have found better "patches" for them. Hormone Imbalance is also a huge one down that track.

I have my full timeline posted on PEBForum and also on Patreon. I give a lot of "prep" advice for starting your journey or while you are going through the process.

I hope like this forum the podcast at least helps some veterans out there. I apologize for the sound being a little rough I am just figuring things out with it and currently using my earbuds to record. If I see interest in the podcast I will start to upgrade things as I go so it is easier to listen to for you all. God Bless all of you.

Thank you PEBForum for being my knowledge bank for several years. I complicated my own case by trying to stay in for so long; however in the end with help from this forum I got most of that repaired and am now content.

This is fantastic! Anyway we can get the information out to people in need is good. Let me know if you need a guest speaker ;)

Thanks!

If you or anyone does listen to the podcasts and you hear something that doesn't make sense or isn't current or all together not correct let me know. Ill go back and get an update out there. I am going to go over things that have helped me in my journey not just PEB but treatments and diagnosis that got me to a better place so that hopefully someone else can benefit early on and live life a little better.

I agree anyway we can get information out to people is a great thing. So many are lost in the process or seeking answers for their conditions. Goes all the way back in history to even before the old "shell shock" diagnosis. Just not enough understanding on the brain and what all happens to a brain that has been damaged by impact or by mental struggles.
